An Elderly Asian Boatman

This boatman has been taking passengers along the Yangtze River in his small boat, in all weathers, for the past 70 years. Photograph: Barnet Age Concern
Age Concern Barnet issued a photography challenge to older people in north London. Its competition aimed to counter stereotypical images of ageing by showing that people in their later years can still be fit, healthy and active members of society. The contest also showcased the photography skills of the over 55 age group.
